Quick update. On the way to the office today the idle was fine compared to last night when it was high. I have the test results that I checked on my lunch today. So the car sat for about 5 hours. IAT temp: 97F. ECT temp: 100F. Throttle percentage was at 10.2%. Most are checked "hot, idling, neutral". Some are different. It will be in the owners manual, some on the dipstick. Good trans fluid looks translucent cherry red unless it was swapped to something else or a,different type. Should never really look like a solid dark color. Stick a 3/8 ratchet/breaker bar into it to relieve the tension, and pull the belt off one of the pulleys.
